Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, has urged teachers on the need to adopt digital tools to ensure innovative learning.
The firm stated this in a statement on Wednesday when it hosted Nigerian teachers at the 14th annual teachers’ seminar.
It added that the event held in Lagos demonstrated the brand’s strong reflection on uplifting and supporting educators as they shape future generations of children through education.
According to the firm, the event, tagged ‘Reinventing the classroom through digital literacy’ hosted over 500 teachers from across Nigeria to a day of celebration, learning, and inspiration.
“The event focused on equipping teachers with essential digital skills for today’s evolving educational terrain,” the firm noted.
Explaining the theme, the Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager at Dufil Prima Foods, Temitope Ashiwaju, stated that today’s classrooms are evolving rapidly.
Ashiwaju added that the brand wanted this year’s seminar to encourage teachers to adopt digital tools and resources that make learning innovative and accessible.
He mentioned that teachers held the future in their hands, adding that the company aimed to support their growth.
“We have journeyed alongside our teachers, recognising their dedication and looking forward to an even greater celebration next year as we continue supporting and empowering educators,” Ashiwaju said.
A senior IT business analyst and project manager, Obiora Ngwu, and a digital technology consultant, Miriam Wokocha, led an impactful session titled ‘Understanding the role of digital literacy in modern education’.
They demonstrated how artificial intelligence and digital tools could transform learning, equipping teachers with practical methods to increase student engagement and access to resources.
A Director of Education, Co-curricular, Science & Tech Department, Education District IV, Ministry of Education, Mrs Onatoye Kemi, who attended as a distinguished guest, urged teachers to embrace continual learning and innovation.
“With or without titles, teachers are special. Value yourselves, keep growing, and guide the next generation confidently through the digital age,” she said.
A coordinator of the Indomie Fan Club, Mrs Faith Joshua, described teachers as the foundation of all professions.
She encouraged them to carry on their great work with pride and determination, stressing that Indomie remained dedicated to standing by their side.
